took heat sheilds off and the next day the car is running like crap

i know that taking the heat shields off the turbo wont cause it to run bad, but i started the car up the next day and its runnin like shit, real ruff, exhaust is choppy, and engine was shakin pretty good, my af is fine, and the check engine light is on, but i cant take it to autozone cause its uninsured. it has a dejon tool intake and i have autometer boost and af gauges, any ideas, i almost though that im runnin on 2 cylnders. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Maybe you messed up your O2 sensor when you did that. I dont know about our cars cause mine didnt have one when i got it but i helped my friend take his heat sheild off his honda and wires for the O2 sensor went through the heat sheild so we had to disconnect it to get it off, if you had to do that then maybe you messed it up somehow, just a guess.

Maybe it fried your alternator. Check yout battery volts with the car running, should be around 13.5V
