I have a new big16g and when I am driving in lower gears, as soon as I give it moderate throttle and the turbo spools, the engine dies and the rpms drop and i lose all power. in higher gears like 3-4-5, it gets progressivley better, but like in third it still feels like the motor is holding back. I am running stock 10 psi, with no Wastegate control cellonoid or whatever..the thing that mounts on top of the aircan. I checkedd all my ic pipes, but when the turbo spools, i do get full boost, according to my aftermarket boost gauge. its weird though cause instead of pickin up and haulin when the turbo spools, it just dies off. i have my timing set at 5 btdc, but im gonna ajust that cause i think my liight was a little off...i have one w/ the litle knob on the light to set the timing advance. the knob might have moved. I need help though i need to get this thing on the road soon or im gonna be screwed.

I'm really feeling that it is the o2 sensor. Do you have a CEL on? If you do, it might be either the 02, maf, or something not reading the air. You might also have an erupted hose. Even though the pipe clamps are tight as hell, you might have a crack in the hose. Check your gasket to your intake to head. (I am not sure the best way to do this) If it is sucking in air from there, the computer has accounted for it, so therefore, crappy performance, if any.

yeah i have a CEL, and my 02 sensor is prbly about shot, also my MAS is hacked, would that do it?...the gasket from intake mani to head is brand new, i just put it in and torqued it up like 2 months ago(only about 150 miles..) I hope it is the ic pipes i was plannin on gettin some piping and buildin hard pipes soon neway

damn..that sucks..cause i dont have ne of my peices left...i chucked them all when i hacked it....hmm...

:thumbdown May that be a lesson to you to never throw out anything stock. You should always have an option to return things back to "default" if you eff something up.

i had a similar problem a while ago, mine was an ic pipe problem, where the upper intercooler pipe was connected to the intercooler, the coupler was on but it was right on the edge of the pipe so it would drive fine when i wasnt boosting, but as soon as i started to build up boost, it would put pressure through the pipe and air would escape throught the crack. just check and make sure all your couplers are in place and tight.
