Basically I put my car away for the winter. I went to start it the day AFTER I stored it and it wouldn't start. The engine would crank, and the timing is dead on, but it would not catch. I checked all fuses. Everyone of them is good. Did a COLD compression tes and got f*cked up numbers from #1-4. Keep in mind this is a stock rebuilt 1G turbo motor with 6000kms on it.
#1 - 150psi
#2 - 180psi
#3 - 130psi
#4 - 150psi
Then as I'm doing the compression test, I notice the smell of gas in the air. There is gas all over my exhaust manifold, turbo and O2 sensor housing. So I'm surely getting gas. Battery is fine because everytime I turn over the car, it's being boosted by my dad's 300M.
So is it the ECU? I checked, no signs of anything wrong. No smell and no leakage. Check to make sure my SAFC is set up correctly. It's beautiful.
Now I want to test the ignition sytem and make sure it's timed properly and has proper voltage to generate power on the combustion stroke. Anyone have any tips to checking this two items? Anyone want to take a stab in the dark on the screwed up compression numbers?
