Ive been working on the car and i noticed this thing that didnt look right to me. I guess it has oil in it i havnt taken the time to see where the other end goes yet. What i was wanting help with was what the heck is it? and why is it plugged off like it is? what is going on with this? and how or should i fix it, is it normal? its aviously missing that bolt, that can be seen prety easy, im more worried about why its blocked off and what its supposed to be feeding/returning, or if its even oil? what the heck is it?????

i cant really tell, its dirty on the end of it, looks like its just crimped with something in there, i guess.

okay it goes in there at the....oil filter housing??? so it must be oil. And it appears to be CROSS THREADED, crap.

well it looks like someone tried to install another oil feed line. That top fitting there is a common place to tap into for better filtered oil pressure for turbos. you have the stock oil feed line on correct?

yeah, my turbo is feed from the head. okay so that messed up line is where someone tryed to feed the turbo from the filter housing and didnt quite do it? so if i unplugged that line and ran it to my turbo and plugged the line from the head i would be doing that thing that people do when they run it from the housing or is that line ment for something else?

this is intersting... it appears to be stock.. the brackets look factory, and all the dirt and crud make it look like it was there for the life of the car. But where its going into the fuel filter housing is nothing more than another Oil "tap" or oil supply source.

where it says "RRE turbo oil supply line" ... thats where that line on your car is going...or should i say coming from...

o okay i think i see now, ill just leave it like it is for now as long as its not hurting anything. it dosnt leak oil so it must be fine as long as that line isnt supposed to be going anywhere. Thanks for your help. ill run it to my turbo if i even get the right lines and stuff for it.

for little less than 30 bucks you can get a nice stainless steel line and they include the correct plug for the head, and copper crush washers/seals

i would do that right now but money is so tight i cant spare it cause of all the costs it took to get my car fixed up, ill prolly fix it up when i "service" the car for summer.

hmm well in that RRE pic it looks sorta lopsided 2 so maybe its not cross threaded like i thought, thanks for you help man, ill be sure to get that sooner then later.

no its not cross threaded... it looks like that.. even when you install it you think your cross threading it..
