1g oil pressure question

Has anyone ever tried to refrence oil pressure from the head? I had mine coming from the oil filter housing and showed 40 lbs at idle hot but was thinking that I would be better off taking pressure from the head after all the bearing, cams and turbo got oil. To my surprise, I only had 10-15 lbs at idle hot and only 25-30 @ 3k but 75 @ 3k from the filter housing. Im just curious if anyone else had tried this and if so, what kind of pressure did you have. Mine seems a little low to me, but I could be wrong.

No that sounds about right. In the Chiltons it says about 13psi hot but see the only thing is I dont know where from my best guess would be the oil housing.
