okay I brought a 99 GST back in Oct. & it's been giving crap ever since, first the sensors were always messing up, I had to replace 2, then in December my coolent line that runs behind my exhuast manifold had a hole from the turbo rubbin on it, got that replace, & I haven't had my car with me for about a month yet, it's always been at the shop. Well now this is what happen last week, I was at wal-mart put my car in drive & it wouldn't move at all, I press tha Rpm to about 5, then my car finally started to move, well for 8 blocks home from wal-mart I was driving 5 mph, cuz something was up with tha transmission, so I park tha GST, look under I see three drops of oil, then it just all spills at. so I take to tha shop at tha dealership, turns out that it has a hole punch in tha size of a half dollar coin. & now it's up to my insurence to see if tha think my car is totalled, or replace the transmission. My question is since I really love this GST, & tha last thing I would won't is to give it up, will if I get the transmission replace for $3,000 that's with labor, should I keep it, or trade it in? In about a year or two. & If they totalled my xar, what kinda car should I get next? Any ideas help out. Thanxz

Hell yeah I would keep it,Its fairly new,and you should keep it unless you want a GSX.If I were you I would look for some better prices 3 grand seems a little steep.

Isn't your car still under warranty? Or are the mitsu warranties non-transferrable. Either way, $3000 seems like a lot for a tranny replacement.
