toronto,
Hey guys,

i just ran into a problem tonite and need help asap please...

i just fixed the thermostat and installed a k & n filter today and was testing the car after and everything seemed good no problems...
so i was revving the car couple times to hear the difference in the cut air can mod that i did and right after that all this smoke came out of my engine bay...(by the way the car was fully warmed up, i did not rev on a cold engine) i popped the hood and thought i had blown the turbo but then the smoke smelled like coolant leaking and quickly checked and it was the coolant but it wasnt leakin from the thermostat area BUT from where the downpipe was and was leaking really hard...
i quickly shut the car off let it cool a lil then started it back up hoping to to mess up my turbo coz at first i though the turbo went but the turbo was fine...
what im not sure of is how its leaking from where the downpipe is there is no coolant there or there is?? and wat do you guys think could be the problem... suggestions asap please!!! thanks
ps.sorry about the write up but tried to be as detailed as possible to narrow things down...

I'd check the thermostat neck.

mabye you cracked it when tightening down after replacement of thermostat.

or you might have a hose not hooked up.

alright guys...i checked underneatth when it was spraying the coolant out of the broken hose/line and i found out what hose it is but duno what hose its for...
its the skinny line that runs near the turbo oil line from the oil filter and its black and was jus shootin out coolant like crazy... i duno where it goes or where it comes from but can anyone help me with that description? thanks
o also perhaps how much to fix it... thanks

Coolant return line from the turbo spool. A piece of heater hose will fix it. Get the best you can find (or the part from the dealer), and make sure it's not kinked at all when you get it in.
