I'm looking to have my gst awd swapped and looking for something close to home being that the shell has to be towed to get it done. So if anyone knows of a good shop that works with dsm's that would way cool. Thanks

English racing can do it, but I can garentee you it will be like $3,000. It is an exspensive setup, best advice is to get all the drivetrain parts you can before hand.

At that rate you would be better off selling your car/parts and purchasing an AWD already and have room for goodies.

I try telling people it's so much easier just to buy a new gsx shell but they always get some sort of emotional attachment to there car. But yes getting a gsx sheel is much smarter better cheaper option. But converting it if you have the money is nice to, but the blut fact I was stating is it is not cheap.

I have a 95 Tsi in great condition already that I am using for the donor. It has the LSD rear end in it and is basically mint but its fully caged and was race built so for dd it doesn't work for my family needs. I am emotionally attached to the gst like any good dsmer and plan on doing the swap. I live in southern Oregon about 2 hrs from the ca border. I have a local tuner shop that's going to do the swap but just wanted to see what else is other there. I know of English racing but wa is a bit far to tow the Tsi. Thanks for the feed back guys

Wasn't disagreeing with you, was just expressing my own eye opener at the cost. :thumb:

Oh no doubt I am with you so much cheaper to just buy new shell but alot people wanna baby the shell they got. More power to ya if you turn your gst into awd that's how they should be.

swap is complete and awesome! I spent about 2k altogether after the extra parts and things needed. Had it done at Hewitts Motorsports in Medford, Or
