Ok I might be tinting my lights, and painting my rims. I have a quick photoshop job of what it would look like. Let me know what you think. I don't really like the stock look anymore, I want to get her a new look. If you don't like it, what might look good?

Before

After

What do you think?

hmmmm So do I :) LOL Where do they have the VHT night shade tint paint?? autozone?

Pepboys and Advance auto parts both stock VHT nightshades. But god almighty, PLEASE, if you do this make sure you sand the tail lights with 2000 grit before you do it, and when its dry, sand it again lightly with the 2000 grit. Then add some clear coat and buff the clear when it's dry. THAT is how they're supposed to look, not flat black like these ricey loser kids always do it cause they cant read directions.

As for your wheels, leave em the way they are. Its very rare to find a set of swirlies that haven't been painted because the owner didnt just save for some other wheels. They actually look very nice when they've been cleaned well and kept nice. My buddy has a tsi awd thats the same exact color as yours and he left his wheels the silver and cleans them regularly and when he parks near a car that has the same wheels painted you see that his car is so much cleaner looking than the other.

hmmmm If I keep the wheels the way they are I wont be tinting the lights it wont look good, not enough black to play off of. I will have to think long and hard about it

There's plenty of black to pull off the tail lights man, think of all the trim around the car, the entire roof is black, the spoiler's black. If I was you, I'd tape off the red on the tail lights, and just tint the ORANGE of the tail lights black. That would look nice too.

The wheels tie the entire black look together a lot more, If you got the wheels its visually stronger with a continuous area of black spread out, Maybe Its my graphic design schooling kicking in, OCD or something LOL Don't know but I will defiantly post a pic when WHATEVER I do is done.

leave the chrome lip and use nice paint and it will turn out awesome

FInd a nice set of black aftermarket wheels and keep the stock ones silver.
