no i mean the car starts and all but it wont move it shifts and all but wont move i tried just shifting the transs but not a thing. i got a cel but i forgot what it was all i remember was i think it said there was no comunication between the transs and the tsu. could it be the sensor on top of the shifter that has a plug going to it.

yes i did the one from the inside of the car the engine one looked like it was the same i swaped the ecu and the tcu both and nothing yet. thx for the reply

This sounds like you only changed the one on the inside of the car?
I am thinking this is your problem.
Gs and gst don't share the same engine harness. Look into seeing what you need to swap. Im on my phone atm or id look.

oh ok i did only change th one on the inside and the one for the gas tank i checked the one for the engine bay and it all looked the same except the fuce box is different. i was thinking of the sensor that is right on top of the transmission the one with a fat plug to it would you guys think thats it as it used to make noice before...

Ecu of a 97 is different. You can not just swap ecus from a n/t and a t. There are a few different pins. Also the tcus I believe are diff as the autos are different from n/t to t. Not sure how your saying it shifts if your not going anywhere.
