Hey everyone. This is my first thread. Ive been trying to research and maybe find something online but have had zero luck so far. I bought my 97 talon without the door flares like the 97-98 models come stock with. i have them and have the clips i ordered straight from chrysler. so i have all necessary parts to put them on. i know where on the door/rear fender it goes, but i need the layout for the holes to be drilled in the door/fender. if any1 knows where i can find that layout or an easy way of doing it, id greatly appreciate it. you can hit me up on here or my email [email protected]. thanks for the help!

So the factory kit was removed and filled? You could always put the clips in the moldings and use putty squished onto the body around about where you can see where they would hit. Then you slowly push the panel with clips into the body useing your hands as a guide to keep it straight. The clips will make a mark in the putty where they would normally go into the metal. Pull the panel straight back and inspect.

You could also measure the distance of where the clips are when in the molding and then transfer the measurements to the body. Or use both methods and check the puddy impression measurements to make sure they are close.

If satisfied press a sharp oblect straight into the putty to the metal work to mark the body of where the wholes need to be. This is where "measure twice and cut once" would be very beneficial, haha. If still happy then drill!

This is they way MANY people do frame sliders on the inside of there bikes. just take your time and be sure not to wobble around to mucha and it should work well. Good Luck bro!

Awesome! Thank you. Yeah me and my dad have been trying to figure out how to go about doing it. That seems very logical to do. Ill have him read your reply and see if he wants to go that route. I am definately taking your idea. Seems awesome to me LOL but thanks for the help. Ill def let you know how it goes and try to get a pic up on when we're done.

thanks bro!

So what does he think bro? It should be pretty easy with two people to help with holding the moldings and everything.

He likes that idea. We're gonna like hold it up to the car where it should, outline it with like tape, then do your idea and see where the clips *should* fall and if it looks legit we're gonna do some hole punches and put the flares on. seems pretty easy. ill def let you know how it goes. ill try and get pics on here asap so you can se how it turned out.

thanks again bro
