SPR Import Shootout - July 23rd - Renegade Raceway, Yakima, WA

The 2011 SPR Import Shootout is coming July 23rd to Renegade Raceway just outside of Yakima! This event was started to continue to help promote the import drag racing scene in the Pacific Northwest! For those that don't know, Renegade Raceway has always been very biased to domestics and last year's inaugural SPR Import Shootout showed nothing but class, a huge crowd, and good 'ol fashioned racing and Renegade invited SPR to hold another event this year! Many of the big name import shops from around the PNW are scheduled to attend, including:

and more...

We encourage EVERYONE from the PNW to come out and support our sport!!!

I will be there again. This is a fun event for sure. Lots of time to get all the runs in you need to get your car dialed in, race your friends, etc before and after the actual "shootout" part of the event.

Clucth is in with new flywheel and also added bigger FMIC. I will Be ready to rock this weekend.

Thankyou sonnyslave for posting this up here and getting the word out on the event. This year the track is under new ownership and the new owner so far has been extremely cool with everyone no matter what they drive and really welcoming the imports to come out and run as much as possible. Track prep this year has also been great now that some changes have been made. the burnout boxes have been re-concreted and the gum all scraped up so slowly but surely things are improving. This year will be the first time we will be running classes as well as a bracket class and the usual test and tune for those vehicles/setups that do not fall into a certain class. I think I am going to make the drive out. Never been to a shootout before sounds like fun! Where is all the interest!? who else from tacoma area is attending? maybe we can get a crew of dsms together for the trip over.

Well I had a good time at the event. Did not get to make any runs because my car overheated at the entrance to the track. Found out half way through the event that it was because my cooling fan fuse blew so I had no fans. Either way I had a good time. Would have liked to see some more dsms and evos but I would definitely attend again.

I wasn't able to make it Saturday, but came out that Friday night and ran a 12.7.

Heard Saturday was a lots fun.

I am actually on EvoX Forums. I'm down for a meet. I can try to make some time, I will be parting out yet another DSM a 95 TSI next week.
