delta 272s now valve guides are toast..

so i bought and installed deltas hks 272 about 2 months ago and now it seems that my valve guides are toast ....is this normal never reved over 7k and im pretty sure its vavle guides because it blows blue smoke on start up and not underload or sitting at a light any help?? engine might have 30k on the rebuild

I've had Delta 272s and am currently running Delta 280s and never had an issue. Plenty of people are running the Delta cams with no problems.

I would better guess that it's your valve stem seals.

why would you be pissed, valve seals are so much easier to replace that the guides, and a lot cheaper than guides. you can even do it with the head still on! sorry about your luck tho!
