Anybody running "ECM Link V3 full" want to give a newby some pointers?

I am helping a friend pull a motor today out of his 1995 400+ hp Talon Tsi awd, he spun a rod bearing, (evo III 16g turbo), and in return he is going to give me some 10mm plug wires(mine are stock), a manuel boost controller(i dont have one), and i want to make some changes to my "STOCK E PROM ECU" in my 2g. so i was wondering if somebody could give me a few pointers as to what features i could have flashed/programed into my ecu, that would help me out now, and in the future, here is a list of things i want..

2 step launch control, (where you set youre redline when you push in the clutch right before you launch so you launch under boost, ill set it at about 4,500 rpm's) I will research which wire to tap into right after i post this tread.

redline at 8,000 rpms

and maybe some minor tuning adjustments that will be good for 15 psi

i cant think of anything else, but if there are any other features that you think i could have copied to my ecu, please tell me.. id like to know.

My current setup is all stock motor and internals, just an NGR BOV, FMIC, 3 inch intercooler piping, and stock everything else. so, i dont care to hear about how its a "bad mod" just because my car isnt ready for some of these mods yet, this is a free chance for me to grab some features without spending money which i dont have. i know i plan on rebuilding the motor anyways. so i just want youre help...

What should i watch out for, like what should i be sure not to do when trying to uplod some of these features to my ecu?

and what do i do/where do i go in the program to find the page with these features, and how do i copy them to my ecu?

i am somewhat familiar with the program because i downloaded the demo straight from ECMLin.com.. so i would just like some advice,

two things that popped out to me when reading your thread is your launch rpm seems alittle low id say atleast 5000rpms, mine is set to 5200rpms launching at 14psi and 8000rpm redline ouch i wouldnt go passed 7500rpms but thats just my .02 cents

Anyways, the tranny needs a new throw out bearing, i cant shift my car past 5,500 rpms. i just want to do that "mod" because even thogh im not going to wrap the motor aout at 8,000 rpms yet, i would like to just have that feature for the future(after i rebuild the motor and change the clutch/throw out bearring). and youre right, if 4,500 rpms seem a little low. then i could change it. but my friend is trading the car after we help him out with the motor swap. so i need to grab some features from his ECMLink while he still has it, LOL. ive got maybe 3 days to get these "goals of mine done."

so do u have any pointers on how to hook up ECMLink? my ecu is in an easy to reach location(ecu is grounded to the frame/chassis)

what pages should i be dealing with/making changes to in order to make the proper changes?

what i dont want to happen is be messing around on the wrong page, then copy it to my ecu, then make my motor run like shit, LOL... so thanks ppl for helping out.
