DSMLink tuners

Hey everyone,

Just got done doing a bunch of install work on my Talon and need some help with basic tuning via DSMLink. All of my modifications are listed in my profile.

Quick synopsis of what the current issue is: car starts, slowly builds RPM to around 2k, plateaus for a very brief period of time, than stumbles and dies.

I have attached a log for those of you that have DSMLink, perhaps you can assist me.

I noticed the hole log your running Rich....
The last bit your at about 2k and 11:1 - 12:1 As it dropped to 1000Rpm you A/F ratio droped all the way to 9.5:1
What fuel Presure are you running with the 680's?
And Also is your front o2 hooked up?

WAIT do you even have a Wideband??? I don't see on in your profile?

As for the front o2, it is plugged in but I suspect it to be dead. It holds constant at .06 volts.

And no, I do not have a wideband. I am trying to get the car running decently enough at idle and cruising so that I can get the car down to Pina.

Yep.

Haven't gotten too much attention over there. I was hoping someone local would have some time and knowledge to spare.

What else did you install at the same time?

Is this the same ecu that you had before link or is this a different one?

The GM MAFT, the FMIC and new spark plugs. Other than that, everything was the same prior to install.

I am about to head out to the garage and use my DSMLink to check the fuel pressure.

Still looking for advice on what to change/fix besides the oxygen sensor to correct this problem.

Boost leak test?
Double check spark plug gaps?
Make sure MAF-T is set up correctly to work with DSMlink?

BLT was good prior to first start up.

Spark plugs were new prior to first start up.

I am PRETTY sure I have the MAF-T set up correctly to work with the DSMLink. Everything is set to zero except for AUX at 2. I have it selected as 1G MAF on the DSMLink.

I did just check the fuel pressure with my DSMLink and the gauge read 45 psi. So it's about 8 psi above stock fuel pressure levels. I recalculated my global setting and deadtime.

Started at: -34% Global / 210 Deadtime / 45 psi fuel pressure
Recalculated at: -46% Global / 315 Deadtime / 45 psi fuel pressure

I will give it a go tomorrow with my dead front oxygen sensor and see how it plays out. I may go in and switch the front oxygen sensor OFF with the DSMLink and see if it will idle. Than, I can switch it back ON once I get the new sensor installed in a few days.

Here are two new logs just taken.

First log is with the dead o2 sensor on and the new global/deadtime settings.

Second log is with the DSMLink turning the o2 sensor off and new global/deadtime settings.

Advice welcome.

Okay, can anyone else confirm that the dyno at PINA can mess up your car and some other things?

I personally haven't heard any stories, but I have been out of the DSM world for a couple years.

I can't open those logs. I'm getting an error. Do you happen to have any others or can get more?
