ok i replaced every thing in the clutching system from a stock clutch kit, and clutch master and slave. bleed the clutch system and still wont shift . all it wants to do is roll forward.. no matter if you put it into reverse still wants to go forward. o ya if you put in first gear and bairly let your foot off the clutch pedal it want to go forward no matter which gear you put it in..................any help would be appeciate it....

did you check to see if the cables are moving or maybe the braket is loose? get a buddy and go threw the gears with the car off and see if everything is moving like it should.

i checked the cables while shifting and nothing changed. even with the cables off an manually shifting the tranny into different gears all the car wanted to do was go forward reguardless if u tried to shiftin it manully on the tranny.. an yes i did adjust the clutch under the dash an nothing changed no matter what i did....

i,ll ask pina maybe he has another idea. but to be honest it sounds like a internal failure. but you never know.

when you turn off the engine and start shifting do you feel any resistance like its going in gear? did you try starting off in reverse and the starting the engine? try draining the tranny see if you can see any pieces or shavings coming out.

i asked around and everyone told me it sounds like internal problems,, but you never know,,, maybe have someone come look at it? get a few Opinions .

ya to ## question h3o the tranny wont go into shifting it in reverse also even manually shifting it off the tranny its self.an starting it in reverse it wont go all the way in gear too.

try checking your shift fork sounds like your clutch is not letting you get into gear, could be your shift fork is broken. Doesnt sound like anything really internal just because when you move with broken internals you can hear it trust me.

well like when i first got my car goin u could hear raddling on the back side of the tranny. but after i did the clutch kit the raddling went away. strange........ now wont go in to gear..

Ok first things first because I can't really understand what you are saying.
What did you install? Is it aftermarket or stock?
If it is stock, what year is it from?
I can't help much more until I know exactly what you replaced and what brand it is.
Was the FW replaced? Was it resurfaced? Was it stepped correctly if resurfaced?
Did you shim the fork pivot ball?
When you look at the clutch fork where the slave cylinder pushes, where is it sitting exactly? Closer to the engine side, closer to the tranny side or right in the middle?
The rattling you heard before the replacement was most likely the throw-out bearing.

i installed a stock clutch kit and i didnt replace the fly wheel or resurface it because it didnt need it. the clutch fork to slave cylinder is in the middle were it should be. and i never shimed the pivot ball at all just regreased it. like it said too do. o ya its a schucks stock clutch kit.

Well I was hoping you would have said that it was an ACT 2600 and the clutch fork is not even close to center. But since thats not the case,it doesn't sound like an adjustment issue that they are prone to needing.

How was it shifting before the clutch swap, and why did you swap it? Because of the rattling?

I am not sure what else to check at this point if it worked fine before the swap it would seem that something didn't go correctly during the install.

hey i was just thinking about it but did you remember to align the dowels on the pressure plate and clutch disk?

um it shifted ok but would have problems coming out of 5th gear alot and same with 3rd gear you couldnt down shift into 3rd without grinding.. than to put it in reverse you would have to have the car off than put it in gear than start it up . that an i wanted to swap the clutch out for the fact that i didnt know if the car had an aftermarket clutch or not. plus the rattling from the throw out bearing was annoying. :dsm:

Sound like maybe A Shift Rail inside the tranny broke leaving it in only one gear, my freind broke one of his doing a 2-3 shift .... Was doing about the same thing till it locked in 2 gears at the same time Then It did'nt move it was like the T-case looked up....if it was a broke "Shift"...h3o? Clutch fork as soon as you started the car in gear is would jump forward like statring it with the clutch switch off and in gear with the clutch up... One of my other friends did that TO Also you could reach down an pull the small end out of the tranny if its broke all the way.... Any more info will help...

I didnt replace the flywheel or resurface it because it didnt need it

What is you defanition of Did'nt need it WTF You could have hot spots that you can't see...Should have seen my ACT LW FW when it was beening resurfaced there was new hot spots in a differant spot each time he took off the littlest bit
