first off im running 8:5:1 pistons fully rebuilt lbottom end with arp head studs and rod and main bolts too sooo.... i was wanting to know ### kind of injectors, fule pressure regulator and tuning equipment to run 20lbs saftey tuned though. any kind of help on this would be helpfull

Wideband, knock sensor that you can see, Keydriver eprom chip/DSM Link/SAFC, 1:1 afpr, walbro 255HP.

Pretty much read the upgrade path in the tech guide...I'm usually in the olympia area, and if you ever get a chance swing by Goodyear on the west side, ASK to speak to mike with the red 1g, and tell him I sent you over there to chat whenever he has time.

I also know the 90 GSX is the bastard child of the 4g63 setups so make sure the stuff your getting is all compatible.

ya my dad works at the same good year that mike does. i also go to the shop. zellers automotive to bs with mike or doug and with every one else that go's there. im wanting to hit 13's or better on 20bls of boost. plus the biggest thing im wanting to is reliablity out of the motor once its done.. im running the evo 16g turbo if i forgot to mention

You must be Lee's brother... :p

To make things simple: Since you have an E316G, running 20psi would be the minimum I'd run due to the boost creep issues of the E316G. You have a front mount, which is great! I would put a setup like this together to run 20psi:

-E316G
-FMIC
-650cc injectors, at least that big
-Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator, the Aeromotives work very well
-Rewired Walbro fuel pump, the 190lph or the 255lph would work, but the 255 would give you some room to work with
-If you have an EPROM ECU, go with a Keydiver chip and S-AFC, but DSMLink would be ideal for sure
-Datalogger, the single best tool you can have to monitor and tune your car

That would work for you for sure. The big catch here is that if you don't have an EPROM chip, then you are limited in tuning options. 650cc injectors are about the limit that a S-AFC can handle, and even then, the ECU will be tricked enough the it will add insane amounts of timing. You are also limited in the fact that a stock ECU will have fuel cut still enabled, which will cut you off with that much boost. A remedy for fuel but is a Keydiver chip, but only if you have an EPROM ECU. Other items that help eliminate fuel cut are a 2G MAS conversion or GM MAF-T conversion.

So if you have more questions, I'm here on the boards every night and at Goodyear during the days.

by the way with 20lbs how much horsepower would i get beings im already at 14lbs with a vortex adjustable fpr that self adjusts fuel to boost. havent installed my 3inch down pipe and cat-back exhaust. so with my evo 16g turbo if i wanted 23lbs i'd wanna go with a bigger turbo like the 50 trim for more boost. right. ### i wanna get 300hp to 400hp if possible with either 16g or upgrade to 50 trim .

It's way too hard to tell exactly how much power you would make on 20psi, 23psi, whatever... There are a ton of people making well over 300hp on a 16G. I'm personally making close to 300hp on my Small 16G and I'm only running about 17-18psi. My Small 16G isn't very efficient past about 23psi or so, but an E316G is efficient to higher than that. You could upgrade to a 50 trim to make more power with less boost, but a E316G could definitely get you where you want to be. 400hp is pushing it for sure on 92 pump gas, but somewhere in the 300 range is definitely possible. However, you need to get the supporting mods to run the kind of power and boost you want. And of course, a 50 trim is going to require more supporting fuel mods than a E316G.

Supporting mods include:
-Exhaust
-FMIC
-Fuel Injectors
-Fuel Pump
-Adjustable Fuel Regulator
-Wideband o2 Setup
-Datalogger
-Tuning device like a Keydiver EPROM chip/S-AFC combo or DSMLink
-ARP Head Studs wouldn't be a bad idea either when running over 20psi

You HAVE to have these things to properly tune the car and monitor its performance and vitals. First things first here is for you to find out if your ECU is EPROM or not. That information will let you know what kind of tuning devices are available to you. Once you find that out, then determine what kind of power you want and how much boost and what turbo, and that will give you an idea of what size injectors, fuel pump, etc. that you'll need.

well when my eclipse head was getting rebuilt i had the arp head studs installed that way if some how the turbo would over boost it wouldnt blow the head gasket or the head. but i am going to get arp rod and main bolts and studs.up on thr rebuild i wanna do really really soon

the whole reason i wanna make big hp is ### i wanna beat my buddie matts turbo civic ### he's running 18lbs on his car and he got to be running 350 or possibly close to 500hp on a lil t25 turbo. even my car still gets be by a stock sti thats 300hp when he was in 6th gear and he punch it and still beat me like i was standing still. so ya i want as much hp i can sqeeze out of mine. tuned though.

Well for starters, that Civic is no where near 500hp on a puny little T-25 turbo. Not even 400hp. I don't care if he is running 18psi on some SOHC D-series motor. I know exactly who you are talking about. I can take stock STis on the freeway. And I will smash on a stock STi like he was a little RC car at the dragstrip. No problems there. STis are a waste of time and money, plain and simple. Trannies made of glass that break on the weakest of launches. Zeller's Automotive is NOT the shit, I'll tell you that right now. Doug's Black/Blue STi isn't all it's cracked up to be. People that claim to be the fastest around never go to the track and prove it.

But anyway, if you want to be in the 300-400hp range, then follow my guide and you will be smashing on STis in no time. Look at my modlist and improve on it. You can follow my modlist because I am right about 300hp and I haven't even unleashed this Small 16G yet...

hey what days r u working at good year. cause every time i go there your never around to talk to about this kinda shit. o ya i was wondering how much of a difference in a full exhaust can u feel is it alil bit of power diffence or a big difference in power???

I work everyday and have Fridays and Sundays off. I work 9-6. And a full exahust will definitely give you a difference in the feeling of the car. It will give you quicker throttle response and more top end power than before. I noticed a difference with just a catback with my cat still installed, but an even bigger difference when I eliminated the cat and put my downpipe in. I also have a Punishment Racing tubular o2 housing, which helped also.

all i know is that his turbo on his civic hatch is smaller than a 14b but it spools fast. even though his cars untuned it pretty quick for a small spoolin turbo. i still say if he gets it tuned maybe alil over 300hp or so.

I dont understand why you are so scared about running 20 PSI on a modded block... Im running 17PSI on a stock 14B all I have is 2 1/2 exhaust, a boost controller, partial intake, and the stage 0 upgrade path... im running high 13's--- no disprespect but 20 psi is nothing on a big 16g with a modded engine...

well right now im running 14lbs on a stock motor with no mods except manual boost controller and the gauges to monitor it to. and also a vortex fpr that is 12:1. but soon i'll hook up my 3inch down pipe than get 3inch custom cat-back to the muffler.

why waste a built bottom end on a small turbo. big16's on stock blocks are the norm. speaking from expirience save for bigger turbo and run less boost to achieve bigger goals later, jeff

i finally got my full 3inch down pipe back. wow a big horsepower difference. from stock exhaust to 3inch. that evo 16g spools up quick which is fat but still want that 50 trim though to fill the small turbo area. patrick.......

well i'll listen because i want all that i can get out of a 4g63t motor to get to 400 hp or 500 possibly too. o ya last night i finally got my full exhaust on.wow what a big difference in power...next i wanna get my walbro fuel pump and fprand injectors too just the tip of the ice burg on my list of things to do and check off.
