Hey guys time has come for me to sell my 1g in my profile. Never drive the car anymore, lost interested in racing, and have moved onto a new project. My loss is your gain. Put a lot of time and money in this car, its pretty much fully built, ready for tuning and driving. I have a gang of extra parts accumulated over the years, dont feel like listing and selling them individually, so you are free to take em all along with the car. Use em for your friends, sell em, just take em off my hands.

heres the craigslist link/ad

1991 Eagle Talon TSi AWD heavily modded.

For Sale, my 1991 Eagle Talon TSi AWD turbo. Ive owned this car for about 7 years and modified and tuned it heavily for drag racing.
As it sits, tuned at 20 psi its making over 300 hp at all 4 wheels. When tuned at 25 psi it made 380 wheel at FFTEC's mustang dyno - good for a mid 11 second pass. As it sits, with good race gas in the tank and a good tune at the dyno it could easilly make 400+ hp at ~30psi and click off high 10 second passes at the drag strip.
Ive lost interest in this project. It is fully built, fast, and very reliable for a DSM. The car has its quirks, but no major flaws or work needed.

Asking price is $5000 or best offer... It is registered, but needs smog. We can work out the smog situation. No lowballers, tire kickers, or joy riders. If you are a tuner looking to mod a DSM this is a car thats almost finished for a fraction of the price to build it.

danny NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

hahaha.... the time has come bro!! Building a 66 chevelle convertible. selling the talon = show paint and body work on my oldschool. Time to put my money into something that will be worth twice as much as i put into it...

I love that talon, big part of my life but i dont drive it or race it anymore so its a chance for someone who will have fun with the car and put it to use to get ownership of it and drive it.

Brian if you wish you still had your car just come buy mine it'll make you happy LOL

See Brian, somebody else knows how to appreciate a healthy v8! It's ok to come to the darkside. haha.

OP: Good luck with the sale of the car man. Everybody has to part with their baby at some point. It's never easy.

still for sale, will entertain lowball offers from forum members that will use the car to its potential! I want her to go to a good home!!!

gonna hafta bro... trading a toy for a toy... took her out last nite for a rip haha. That car is stupid fast, someones gonna come up, but i want something thats worth more than i put in it in 10 yrs...

value is in the eye of the beholder man,....

this makes one less bay area dsm'er from back in my day I guess.....

Danny Boy - YouTube

lets just hope mahesh doesn't get rid of his car, I'll have a hard time finding muppets singing anything remotely close to his name

LOL brian!!! ROFLROFLROFL

CAR IS SOLD...
mods feel free to close up the thread

Chevelle is goin to the body shop in 2 weeks for a frame off restoration:sneaky::thumb:

Hi Danny,
wow that was a quick sale! Did it go to a good home? I hope so, your car was super quick! I remember when it ran 11.8 after the tune. That was no joke for a full weight, full interior street car.

LOL@ Brian's vid, the Muppets did some funny stuff!

Dave, the guy has some rally plans for the car i guess... He said he was going to send it off for all the safety eqpt and cage and all that...
He just wanted to drive it around the parking lot to see how it rolled, i said hey lets go hit this straightaway so you can see what kind of power the car has... It was raining on sat morning and dude was in 3rd gear, i said you better put it in 2 we may run out of room... LOL stepped on it, torqe hit, broke all 4 loose, and he flipped it around and said thats all i needed to see haha.

I definitely gotta thank you for helpin me get that car that fast dave! You helped me build and tune it along the way. Car had 10 sec potential in it as it sat when i sold it, i just was done with it, couldnt have too much fun on the street with it, was afraid to break something and throw more money at it, couldnt get it to shift how i wanted etc so racing wasnt that fun anymore.

Ill be sure to post some pix of my chevelle when it starts getting pretty. Ill try not to be a stranger.
Until then, peace out!

I come back after years and this is what I see?! LOL

haha LOL!!!

At least after having a fast dsm i know how much power i want out of my v8 to keep streetability.
One of my friends has a built 383 that just made 530hp 500 tq on an engine dyno, goin into a 68 chevelle, my other friend is building a 421 for his 68 nova, going to have like 600 on pump and hes throwing a 150 shot on it... motors being assembled this week so we will have real life numbers on that motor soon.

As for me, im going to build a roller 350, try to get ~400 at the crank and see 300-340 at the wheels, the drop chevelle weighs 3100 so that should be all i need to have a nice lope idle, sound mean, and slide up the block with a car full of ladies while my boys pedal their shit around the street trying to keep em straight and get traction!!!

Naw, that's awesome Danny. Glad to hear you went out on a high note... hella people leave after blowing their shit up and deciding DSMs aren't for them.

I've been busy with a music project... next stop DSM. Seriously. haha

I'll believe it when I see it.

if you need any parts you know I can hook you up, LOL.

Hey! That's my line. Seriously I come poking around after all this time and come to find you've sold your car. I understand where you're coming from though, I'm just starting to consider getting back into these cars, and am seriously having to think about where this all is leading. Will I end up spending money on a car that I no longer want to/should drive on the street? Maybe it's just us getting older hah.

Mahesh still has his white car. I have his green parts car :)

Hahahahahaha look at how old all of our accounts are. You almost never see that on this website anymore LOL

in case anyone gives a crap… i bought this car recently. its getting a bunch of nice stuff put on it. when i bought it the car mechanically was no different from what it was in this thread. just had new paint. well, its getting a bunch of nice stuff now… and i'm not getting rid of it anytime soon. its being built to be a 550-600awhp daily driver.

Congratz on the new car!

You sold it? Last time I saw it you were degreeing your cams getting ready to drop a motor in it... I was wondering why I always saw the G when I drove by...

Danny, that was a sick car man. I remember going up to sac with you that one time, one hell of a ride. :thumb:

Ahhhh shit i came back here for shits and giggles to see whats up with the old crowd and get love from everyone on the thread!

Kahfae you still have your car?

Ted you still racing?

Dave whats up with you?

Yuri that was a fun ride up to sac, wanted to get on the car but everytime we did we saw CHP... playing the cat nd mouse game LOL

Juhanis, are you the guy i sold it to or you bought it from him?? If you need any info on the car pm me and im happy to shoot you my email

FWIW i have an extra 1g head, clean gray a pillar plastic, and a gang of smic and 1g bov, and other parts, if any of you old folks need any parts or anything, come for one and take em all LOL, ill never have a DSM again.

As for my chevelle... Body off frame restoration. Kind of a "pro touring(ish)" build. Right now its ready for paint, im just accumulating parts and trying to get everything built in the correct order.
Chassis is going to get put together as a roller pretty soon here. Have full ridetech coilover kit for it (kind of corrects all the ancient 1966 geometry issues and redoes all pick up points and geometry off of corvette stuff), corvette disc brakes, and a moser 9" rear end with trutrack lsd.
Built th350 trans, 385 sbc stroker (shooting for about 480 hp frm the motor, could put a "stage" bigger cam in there to hit 500, but i want vacuum so i can stop my pretty car)

As for the color, i can count on my fingers and toes the diff colors ive wanted... been playing with ideas of two tones and diff looks, but ultimately i want to keep the interior and exterior pretty stock, but on bigger rims and all the performance i can get away with with classic styling and without going with a fuel injected ls motor.
My color combos right now im playing with are black, black top, red interior, or corvette red, black top, black interior. There are already like 6-7 black 66 chevelles in SF, no known red ones, so im leaning towards red. Wheels will be rushforth superspokes 19" front 20" rear Brushed and cleared centers, polished outer, with no "rivets"

I learned a lot from my DSM days, what i want, what i dont want. Trying to build my perfect chevelle here. Something with a fun level of power that will inspire confidence in my driving rather than fear. Brakes and suspension that will allow me to have fun and drive that level of power, and keeping the oldschool style and look so that it will have the classic look and still be worth money 30 years from now without a style thats outdated or a "foose car" LOL

Ill check this site periodically and when i have some better pics of some more progress with the car ill update, dont be afraid to pm me if any of you old friends wants my contact info! HMU
