Cropping dogs ears is cruel!!!!!! point blank!!!! Its crazy to me that a person would pay for this cruel treatment. Go spend some cash on your NON-TURBO ECLIPSE!! Cropped ears do not exist in the wild....what if i cut your ears.. so you have to hear everything, every day, all the time????........if you have any love for your friend (cause dogs are our best friends) DON'T DO IT...especially if there not a puppy, it can really fk them up. If you have any compassion for animals you will leave them alone and let the animal be what it is....YOUR FRIEND!!!!! I own a 6yr old Brindle Staffordshire Pitbull, hes my best bud and i could never do anything like that to him. Look into his or hers eyes, and really ask: is that whats best for them.....PEACE AND RESPECT!!!

i have 7 dogs 4 of them being pits. if you do crop its ears make sure not to leave them in the cold as it will lead to ear aches very easily. I personally dont recommend it pits look so cute with their ears on. also most vets wont do it after they have reached a certain age. if you really want to do it the only way to get a good estimate is to call your local vet. just for kicks here is a pic of my baby

This is to EVERYONE AGAINST ear cropping for dogs:

Ear cropping is not just for cosmetic reasons. I have a well breed, well trained Doberman that has his ears cropped. He is my pet, as well as my protection. His ears are cropped for HIS protection! Being that he is a working dog, his body is his only tool. Therefore, if he had long, floppy ears, they would be a hindrance towards his performance and/or would be a target to anyone that chooses to harm me or my cats (i.e. a person or dog, which would aim towards his ears).
I have tried to keep my frustration to a minimum, during my explanation... but it just infuriates me when I visit a search engine and see NOTHING BUT complaints about ear cropping and how CRUEL it is.
So for all you "it's so cruel, individuals"
...I CAN ASSURE YOU, an owner that crops their dog's ears, is an owner which loves, cares, and nurses their dogs in MORE ways than you probably care for yourself!!! The owners of these “cruelly ear cropped animals” care for and love their animals to the furthest extent. I spend more time loving, feeding, bathing, cleaning, doctoring, brushing, kissing, petting, playing, walking, buying, organizing, and LIVING for my pets more than anything in this WORLD, as do other ear cropped animal owners!! I can guarantee you my Doberman (and MOST owners’ with ear cropped dogs) have/had MINIMAL pain with his/her cropped ears, due to the care they received from their owner.
In light, how different is ear cropping compared of that to circumcision? Or better yet, having a baby’s belly button tapered? Aren't these all cosmetic procedures which are performed during the infant stages, like that of ear cropping for a dog? EAR CROPPED DOGS ARE LOVED & CARED FOR (DURING AND AFTER THE PROCEDURE!!) BEYOND YOUR IMAGINATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

---i feel the same thing about this person who posted this. except i have a pit LOL. here read this yourself.. Ear Cropping, in your opinion which is the best ear crop for... - Q&A PEACE and RESPECT!!

ok your rebuttal doesn't make any sense if one of my dogs get into a fight they dont go for the ears they go for the throat. granted i did have a part in training them how to fight. all i know is i think cropped ears are ugly and if you do it you should deff. sedate the animal. I dont doubt one bit that you love your animals but seriously take the time to really think about your reasoning behind this. how you seen many pits on tv with their ears cropped? no its because they look more aggressive. which is usually the reasoning behind it. and let me just tell you a 80-100lb pitbull is intimidating enough. unless your like me and not afraid to grab them by the throat throw them to the ground and and hog tie em cowboy style:tease:

cant possibly tell me he is ugly. thats my BEST friend and more like my child that protects me, and i take REAL GOOD care of him, hell i even got him health insurance! i dont even have insurance. and at only 6 months, he already has the "watchful eye". i take him with me everyware almost 24/7 except the bar.
he is sleeping on my lap right now. hees so purdy.
i had his ears cropped. it was around 400 bucks. the vet took great care of him and even did home visits to make sure all was well.

For those of you that want a healthier treat for your dog, try this.
i give reno (my doberman) veggies. you know those bags of frozen mixed vegetables. i microwave a bit of it and he loves it. that and just about any other veggie.

Don't crop your dogs ears please...

I didn't read all the mumbo jumbo about circumcision, but it's not like having big ears is going to give you diseases. Yeah, I'm sure they do get dirty and can trap debris and what not, but it's nothing a dog owner can't handle.

Love your pit the way he/she looks as is.

I was looking into it for my boxer, but changed my mind because he looks just as great with them natural and my wife thought he would look mean. I only found one place and it was down in san jose. Super over priced at $800 bucks.

to the people hating on this guy for his choice, cmon its this dudes dog. If he's willing to fork out the extra ~500 bucks i'm sure he has no problem spending more money and personal time on caring for the thing.

Do you people think that docking tails is cruel as well? there are DOZENS of breeds that if their tails are natual they aren't even accecpted by the ukc/akc.

THANK YOU!! haha.. but im not gonna get my dog's ears cropped anymore.. hes getting too big and the vet said they wouldnt crop its ears if his over 25lbs.. i found one at fairfield for 300 but no thanks haha.. but anyways here are some pics of my puppy playing with his friends.. LOL!!

no we adopted him from my brother's gf. were just using a chain collar, it works perfectly for this dog LOL.

oh yea were using a big dog stakeout.. u can get one from walmart. do u have a pit too?

yeah ive got two blues and two other muts i posted two pics of my puppies. and ive got two full grown females. my biggest one was tied to 8 brick but she kept pullin them so i buried them. ill take some pics of all of them and their dog houses later today. i just dont really think those stakes would hold my 90lb bi***. ive got alot of work put into two of my dog houses. they are kinda my other addiction besides the dsm. ive also got 3 other little dogs and four cats so feed is a little pricey even though i get a good deal when i buy $100 worth of dog food i think im pretty close to being able to get a kennel license which has alot of ups and downs to it

this is the stake im talking about.. i has spikes that hold the stake from being pulled up by the dog. woah thats a big bi***.. is she preggy? i want another puppy haha!! i know dogs are addicting huh?? we just started with a chihuahua then i started looking for big dogs like pits so they can guard our front coz weve always have someone keep breaking in to our cars. when i was still driving my first car it got stolen twice , then my bros car got robbed in to and took his gps. and then last week some mofos drove by and shot my bro's and my friend's carwindow. good thing our dogs started barking like crazy and we went outside to check it out and saw those kids who did it. luckily there was a cop patrolling our neighborhood and caught those kids.. you just gotta love your dogs haha!!

yeah i live in a pretty bad neighbor hood although one of my neighbors is awesome. we have had cars stolen out of our driveway and it sucks. my big bi*** isnt prego but my oldest blue is prego. i posted a pic of her daughter earlier in this thread. interested in a pup? 500 with papers and their first shots. they should be ready to be taken home around Christmas day
