does anybody have the knowledge and know how to tune both of these together. especially the SAFC . im getting my DP modded to fit my turbo this weekend and i wanna get this car tuned to running good and so im able to drive it again.. if anybody local to norcal knows hit me up. salinas to be exact. and is willing to give me a hand.. id appreciate it.. thanks

have the safc zero'd out. Use the maft and set your idle, injector size, airflow and all that stuff. Then while out driving and giving it some gas you can use the knobs on the maft to get as close to a good tune as possible (while using wideband and logger). Then use the safc to really dial in it making smaller more precise corrections.

ok cool.. but how do i zero out the safc.. and making the adjustments is where i have trouble understanding it..

ok i tried now i dont think im doing it right.. anybody will to help me out.. someone with the knowledge in both.. i need to get this thing registered..

Ok yea that might help. Well this is not a 1g or 2g. It's an 88 Starion

motor:
rebuilt block with wisecos
arp studs
new marnal head with over sized valves
big fmic setup with 2.5" piping
t3 log manifold
borg warner s200 turbo .55 a/r turbine running an external wastegate
full 3in turbo back
walbro 255 fuel pump
3.5" gm mas with translator in blow thru mode
safc 2
stock injectors (tbi Injection so injectors are 850cc and 1050cc )
thats about all i can come up with off the top of my head as far as upgrades.

I had an 88 Starion, and used an AFC-Neo. It was a pain in the ass to properly tune, and I think I was running rich since I didn't have a Wideband to monitor the level of o2. Anyway, which one do you have? There should be some people on the SQ site that have tuned theirs. Are you dyno-tuning this?

Acidbath I recongnize your screen name from sqclub I use the same name there also. But yea I'm using the safc2. And I will be doing all this on the dyno. I see your in Fairfield which I a bit far from here but if you would like to come down and help yourore than welcome.

I halked to a few members there and they told me to try and find someone local that has experience to get me going.

Come to think of it, Zep [if you remember Zep], he's the guy to talk to about AFC and tuning. I asked him to help me awhile back and he is a bit more knowledgeable on tuning one than me. I still need to hook up my Neo to my DSM. I'll see if I can get in contact with Zep so he can give you some ideas on how to tune your SAFC2.

nah dont recall that name.. but yea if you could get a hold of him tell him to contact me.
