I need help to find out if my actuator is shot. I't will not move when I rev it so the wastegate will not open. I took it off the turbo to make sure the wastegate door is ok, But the actuator bar is very hard to move in out it needs alot of pull force to move it should it be like that??? It's my frist dsm please any help will do thanks!!

Spray some wd40 on the actuator arm and where it connects to the lever and take it for a spin.

It shoud be hard/nearly impossible to move with your hands, if you're just revving in neutral you're not going to be building much boost unless you had a t25 or other tiny turbo, I doubt you'd build 12psi just sitting on it in neutral. What problem are you trying to solve?

Then my actuator is find then from what you said. I just trying to find out how it should move but I did find a boost leak on the BOV vacum line, fix it help get me some more boost back. But still have a leak somewhere, also having a lot of fun with that old stock harrnes fix a lot of bad conectors and my injector plugs are weak and my rpms go up when I wegle them not good. Do know how to make a boost leak tester.

Why do you think it's shot? The only symptom of a bad actuator would be uncontrollable boost, meaning your turbo would make as much boost as possible.

I't will not move when I rev it so the wastegate will not open.
The wastegate does not open every time you rev the engine....only when the maximum desired boost level is generated.

It will be hard to pull out, obviously. There is a great deal of spring tension required to hold the flapper shut.

I can move my 14b actuator with my hands if I got a decent grip with gloves on.....And my 14b runs like a champ so whoever says u cant move it with your hands your wrong
