Damn you Defiant you have to ruin it all!

Or do you think they will setup a program where you will just have to pay the fine, and not be able to get it inspected? Or send you to a test only center?

As soon as the budget passes, or the unions beat the governor in court, the exact-same methods, rules, testing and requirements will be re-instated.
Be glad I didn't let you take your car apart, only to find out you have to put it all back.

I work for the state, it is no fun right now. It's bad enough we only get paid once a month but now they want to pay us min wage. Like said before it is just a temp lay off until the new budget gets past.

Yeah, but the State Controller is going to get you paid. It's not legal for the governor to change the pay scales.
What we need is a damned gallows on the Capitol grounds for all these sucking politicians.

And to think today Killa_DSM is the day i call you and am planning on picking up the 3 inch downpipe from you.

This is great! Does it mean if a cop pulls me over I can tell him the state budget for state ref has been cut and throw the ticket back in his face?

On another note, I went to the DMV to get my GF her driver's liscens (Yea yea she is young) and they wouldn't give her the written test because it was past 4, although the posted signs said no test after 4:30. Apparently budget cuts meant 30 mins less time to take your driver's test lolz.

Yeah the laws didn't change, they are still the same.
Although I am not too sure what happens if you get a ticket right now... maybe it is just flagged that you have to go in the future when the ref is back in business or maybe you just gotta pay the fine like Killa DSM said.

The cops have not changed their ticket writing habits. The only thing thats changed is you cant get your ticket signed off so you just have to pay the fine and have no option to inspect. I'm sure an expected response from law enforcement will be tell it to the judge. Which your welcome to try maybe if the stars align on that day you'll be the only guy in traffic court in the state with a judge who cares.

A friend of mine had a state ref ticket. We put his car back to stock and then found out the news. His appointment was cancelled and the ref closed (for the time being). As it turns out, he was able to get CHP to look over the car, sign off on the ticket (they removed his ref sticker), and he basically ended up having to pay fix-it ticket fees.

If you have a ref ticket, see if CHP can help.

actually, you can get it written off still, Many cops write down Non Correctable because they don't like it, or don't know. My homeboy went back to the station got it written off and thats what the cop said, that many cops don't know its correctable lol.

Lucky guy. Try that here in Burbank Court or CHP area and you will still need to pay the exuberant amount of fines. I started a link regarding this issue. Your friend is mighty fortunate.

On a positive note, Glendale Court only fined me $10 for a fix it ticket, plus the additional misc. fines on my first ref. issues.
