Every tiem i drive and hit small crack or potholes, my car bounce or making a grunt noise. Smooth surface is fine. Previous owner told em the spring in the front too soft. Can i get stronger spring? If they are are AGXs then adjust them to a softer setting. The lower the number, the softer it is.

For the fronts pop your hood and look at the dial on top of the shock. Each color represents one of the 4 settings:

The adjuster dial is located on the shock itself (for the rears), so jack up the car, remove the wheel and turn the knob. You have 8 points of adjustment back there.

i see 1,2,3,4 setting on top inside the engine for the shock. I put it at 1 and still bouncing but not like it is before when setting at 4. So i can take the wheels out and adjust it down there? Do i have to turn both side to be exact so the car wont be loopside?

The knob on the shock it self is only located on the rear shocks. The fronts have to be adjusted from the time as you said you have. *make sure all settings are the same for the 2 fronts, and then make sure the 2 rears match each other.. All 4 do not have to match however and normally the car operates better with a more firm setting in the rear than the front*

If you're still having issues get your car aligned. If it is still too bouncy look into replacing the worn bushing/ball joints underneathe your car which in itself is a MAJOR pain in the ass, to the extreme. If you don't wish to go that extreme of a route then you need to get different shocks or softer springs. Which is what I'd suggest.

You never said what year car you had nor which springs you had.. Sounds like your car might be a bit too low on some harsh springs..

I think u r right. I got HR spring and it is lwo to a point i can scratch my cat going over my drive way. What is mien choice? get new spring or get stock setup?

Well it depends.. AGXs arent the greatest shocks but they work... It also sounds to me like your shots may be blown thus causing you not to hae any rebound resulting in your car hitting the bum stops. Go up to your car, press it down on each corner and see how long it takes it to setlle back into pace. If it has a lot of give and can easily be pressed down, your shocks are probably dead. Next step would be to remove them and remove the spring and try to compress it at that point you'll have a definite answer.

We still need to know what year dsm you have...

Yah i sat on them, hard to press down. i changed oil today and look at theose shock. They look brnad new. BTW my is 1990 with bullet holes on the hood. LOL
