DSMers In or Near Concord CA?

I drove in from Arizona and wondering if there are any local Concord meets or nearby DSMers. I own a 97 spyder , fully built 2.4L, 50 trim etc etc. Want to do something other than watching TV in my hotel everyday

A lot of guys get together Thursday nights at the IN&OUT burgers in Pleasanton. About 20-25 minutes drive from Concord. Very, very few DSMs though. A bunch of imports and domestics though. I'm going to try to make it out there tonight.

Awesome! Quick question of ignorance. Are cali car laws very strict on modified cars? Been up here 4 days and driving the Nissan Armada around untill I know spacifically what the laws are for modified cars.

Hopefully you have a front license plate, and stock front side markers.
If not, you give them an easy reason to pull you over and if they ask you to pop the hood and you refuse they can/will arrest you and impound your car.

Bottomline, don't give them a reason to pull you over...

Very good point, I don't know the answer to that, but....

Bottomline, don't give them a reason to pull you over...

Yeah well that's pretty clear. I have no front license plate, a huge front mount, no side markers. Full body kit, no cat , 3 inch exhaust all the way back from the turbo. Pop the hood, Polished Tubular manifold, Magus sheet intake manifold, 50 trim, huge wastegate, non stock just about everything. I guess I should have the car towed back to AZ. Hate Cali

Just don't be dumb and you won't get in trouble. I've never been pulled over with my car, and I have a 3.5" exhaust w/o a cat. You just have to be smart

I sometimes go but school started back up and I work full time.

Cops shouldn't give you much of a problem, unless you drive like a jackass and ask for it.

the meet is every thursday night around 8 in the big safeway, nations parking lot in pleasant hill couple of evos, others, and me when i can make it but their all good about new people
