Need help finding a project car.

Im a previous DSM owner in need of a new DSM project car. Ive looked on craigs list but theres no outstanding deals on there. I am looking fow a 91-92 Talon or Eclipse, must be AWD and 5speed. Decent running condition, ok body (no major damage but needs some work). I have 1,000cash but can come up with a bit more if the car is worth it. tia.

i would just stay on craigslist. thats all you can really do.
Word of mouth wise.... my buddy has a 90-91 (not exactly sure) talon with oxidation, it was running perfectly but it has a fried wiring harness, so if you feel like digging into that then he'll probably give it up for a good price. He pulled most of his performance parts off of the car though. It'll for sure need a new wiring harness and ecu though.

I bought a parts car 1990 GST off of craigslist not too long ago. I got it for $600 with a lot of performance parts and a questionable motor (he said it was siezed, but I found out later that the crank turns so I don't know what the deal was). You can pick up 1g DSMs non-running for pretty cheap, and I've seen entire 4g63's on for under $600. That may be an easier way to come up with a project car.

I have a parts car that needs a motor and tranny. It's not quite all gone yet, and could easily be put back together. You could have it for cheap yo. 1992 GSX.

You can find amazing deals on Craigslist... Just keep looking until something pops up.

Thanks for all the replies. My only problem is that I have no way to move a non running car. Half of me wants to just buy a non op but the other half says I should just put the 1k into my WRX. I would really like something to rebuild because alot of that work is cheaper to do than constantly buying new parts for a daily driver.

Find a buddy with a truck and get a u-haul trailer. They're like $65 bucks for a day.
