Powdercoating wheels in the area?

The best place I've ever seen is Wheel Techniques in Santa Clara. They are very well known and respected. I had a set of SSR's that had been driven at high speed over a curb that they straightened out axially as well as radially along with polishing the lip and powdercoating the rim body. I couldn't even tell that the wheels had ever suffered.:thumb:

Yeah, I have some SSRs that need some love as well... curb rash repair + repaint/powercoat. How much?!

www.Wheeltechniques.com There is no set price because the damage to any wheel is unique to it, but I paid a little over $500 to get mine repaired. They were really f'ed up though. The guys put them on a spinner and OMG WTF The owner said he wasn't even sure he could get them round again but that he would try. I had to repeat the story of how the wheels had gotten so jacked up three or four times to different employees while I was there. The RX7's previous owner had let someone drive the car and when the boost hit in third gear, while going through a gentle sweeper, he lost control and skidded over the center curb/divider:toobad:

hey,
if you want to get it powder coated black then let me know, I need to find more parts to make it into a BATCH before i give it to them, you'll pay a share of what it costs..let me know
dongeR

once I get a new set of rims (once someone actually emails me back rather than just going, O someones interested in my rims and their local and they have the money... aww #### that....I'll want them powdercoated if its not to expensive.

You mean, once you actually buy something instead of just talking about what reallllly expensive part you're about to buy? :p

hey, Its called being an informed buyer, I get hella hyped up about a part Im thinking about getting, then I want to learn as much about it as I can, then I'll deside if I should get it. The rims are a go though, I'll get them for sure this time.... THEN its time for aem ems and fuel and exhaust and a new turbo and a built bottom end with a built head and a full coilover suspension and strut and sway bars with poly bushings......

damnit, not again....

Yep, the $1800 suspension.... the $1300 turbo.... the $700 ems... all this as you're thinking about quitting the job? WTF

excuse me, aem ems is like 1200, if you can find it for 700, PLEASE, DO TELL!!!!!! I'll move it up the list to first and say FU(K THIS to the evo rims.... anyways

I want to quit that job because they don't pay me for how many hours I work. I've had to go in there three times about my paycheck, and I've only gotten 4 paychecks from them. If someone paid you less than you deserve 75% of the time, ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS FOR 6 HOURS, you would think about quitting too, wouldn't you?

btw, do you know if payday was today for me? LOL Im to lazy to keep track. Im like 99% sure it was, but I'll just have to wait til tomorrow. lets see how close they get, I worked 19.1 hours this past two weeks, my guess is they might try and sink into the 11's, since last paycheck they hit mid 13's when I worked 20 hours.... Its nice, I get like no hours, so Im not making much in the first place, and then they cut off a couple days from my paycheck so I make even less.

THAT is why I want to quit. But Im not quitting til I get another job to replace it, If langer starts offering me a lot of hours after I get hired at meadow, I'll quit. For now I'll work two jobs though. This way when I finally make it to college, I'll miss my dsm 500000000 times more. personally Im draining all the fluids and putting it up on jacks and disconnecting the battery, the full storage works. I'll get a car cover for it, and I want to build a room in my side yard that has a layer of glass around it so insects and stuff can't get it. No rust, no bacteria eating away the rubber, nothing. But of corse, I don't have that kinda money, so I'll just have to drain the fluids, cover the car, and take the battery out. No one is getting that car out of the garage but me.

thats why I want a streetbike for college, going from the dsm to the minivan 24/7 will be tough. A streetbike will get better gas milage, be easier to park, and a hell of a lot faster. Im getting my m1 this summer.
