i finally got to take my car out to tune the nitrous last night. i'm using a zex kit, 35 hp jets. i didn't get any boost creep like some had suggested while spraying.

@ 19psi, 93 octane, my EGT's were solid at 1500*F, 0 knock, 24-26 deg. of timing, .82 O2. i'm going to pull some more fuel out and get the timing a bit lower and hopefully get the EGT's up to 1550. my highest intake air temperature (probe at TB) was ~115*F w/o nitrous, 103*F with nitrous. i didn't touch the s-afc at all, the zex kit worked perfectly, slightly rich, but that's fine with me - i can tune it back.

i'm planning on going to the track on friday to get some before/after times. all my mods are listed on www.streetdynamics.com

feel free to ask any questions,

marshall

Cool! Natural Bridge? I was trying to stir up some interest with Greg and others--I don't think he will come. I might come down with the Talon and see what it has. I have some 100 octane unleaded I might be able to share with you. Let me know here or email at work: [email protected].

How did you get a 35 shot jet? I didn't know that the zex kits came with 35 hp jets, I thought it just came with 55, 65, and 75 jets.

i used nitrous works jets, i did a little vfaq of sorts on my website.

Dude I went to your site and couldn't find anything about a vfaq. All that I could find was suff that was for sale, a times list, and some pictures of some of your buddies, and ther rides. I clicked on everything you have posted to click on, or am I just that blind LOL. I would definately like some info on your zex kit, like what part number it is, where you purchased it at, and price. And some info on your 35 shot jet if possible. Thanks!!

Why only a 35 shot??

I've been wondering where you've been at nano. Long vacation huh! LOL. I'm glad you finally decided to chime in on these zex topics. I was starting to think something catastrophic had happened to your car. See ya!

35 shot because i'm not quite as confident as you are yet. i wanted to start small and really see how the car liked it, whether i'd need to inc/dec fuel, that kind of thing. but the kit did a great job compensating. i really didn't need to touch anything.

i'm bringing my 55 jets to the track with me tonight, i'll be running 100 unleaded. i imagine one day i'll throw in some sunoco 116 and try the 75 jets...

well, i only made one nitrous run last night, it was an 8.2 (only sprayed in third), i decided to throw in the 55 jets, but then realized i couldn't because i didn't have a screwdriver for the hose clamp on the vacuum line. but i had closed the bottle in the process and forgot to reopen it.

last run of the night was a 8.10 @ 85mph. no nitrous, i was pissed when i realized i forgot to open my bottle back up, i should've been in the 7's....argh.

I agree with you, especially you being awd. That's still a nice run though.

I keep forgetting to stop by here. So many message boards :D .. That's good. I hope you have better luck next time at the track. And thanks for the nitrous Jet info.. Very usefull. later.

I just recently got a ZEX kit, but I'm having trouble hooking into my throttle position sensor. Which wire did you hook into. I've tested the wires, and can't figure it out. Please help. Thanks.
