question regarding nitrous??

my friend and I were discussing nitrous the other day.. he has a NOS kit and he is putting it on his MR2 turbo.. gonna run a 50 shot.. we were curious as to wether or not he will have to turn his boost down thinking that the nitrous may actually create more boost + the 50 shot... I know the nitrous will actually make the turbo spool faster but in that process will it also make it crank out more boost?

What's up larryd! I would think you may have to turn the boost down a couple of psi, because the nitrous would probably have the same effect as when it's 10 to 20 deg outside during winter time, except the nitrous will add way more power. IMO

You also have to watch out for boost creep when running nitrous. Plus you need to make sure your fuel pump is up to the task of providing enough fuel.

As for the creep. The nitrous causes more exhaust gas thus there is more to get out.

I would be very carefull Larry. Has anybody checked out the Nitrous express N tercooler?I saw it in an ad of theirs but it didnt go into detail ,just wondering what it is.

Yeah, the Ntercooler has a solonoid in front of the intercooler and it looks like it sprays a shot of nitrous at the core, but does not actually inject it into the system to combust. It drops temps for the intercooler.
