does anyone know how to wire a switch to your cooling sensor that if its on it tells your computer that your enigine is cold and shoots more gas into the engine and gives you exta boost?

You dont want extra gas with out extra air, it causes you to run rich and leaves carbon deposits. I would run 93 octane only and manually advance the timing on an NT if you want that extra "boost". Thats a safer way to do it.

Hey verserv, can you tell me what advancing your timing means. I've been reading it in other forums about checking your timing but what does that mean or how do you check it.

By having the spark plug fire a couple of degrees sooner, you give the mixture more time to burn, thus burning more completely, thus releasing more energy, thus creating more power

It is a way to increase power in cars. Normally a car will move timing back and forth depending on how much knock it sees.

For a turbo, dont advance the timing manually, let the computer do it. You can but you have t be careful. Knock can destroy a turbo engine easily if the computer cannot pull back the manually advanced timing enough when it "sees" knock. Fine tuning a turbo engine and allowing timing to advance on its own is one of the best ways to increase performance(turbo and non-turbo).
Some guy had his timing advance itself to 30 degrees TDC on a 1g. Our cars start at 8? degrees TDC if i remember correctly. 2G's will also pull timing faster than a 1g if knock is seen....and late 2G's pull timing even faster than early 2G's(or so i am told, never seen official results of such).

On a non-turbo since most are designed to run on U.S. grade 87-94 octane gas seen at fuel pumps, advancing the timing slightly while using 92+octane gas on an nt can increase power and response without increasing knock, if done correctly.

Now this is my understanding, I am not the greatest with cars so take it at face value, but i beleive this is a correct explanation.

Crap I am getting myself confused. Here is the right setup, 5 TDC with wire hooked up 8 TDC without wire like i first thought. An nt can be advanced a few degrees without issues.

With car running check curb idle speed. Should be 750 (+/- 100) RPM. If idle speed is outside this range adjust curb idle speed to the correct speed first.
With the engine stopped, connect a jumper wire to the terminal for ignition-timing adjustment (located in the engine compartment), and ground it. See illustration.
Start and run the car at curb idle speed.
Check basic ignition timing (5o BTDC) and adjust if necessary. Timing marks are on the crackshaft pulley on drivers side on engine compartment. See illustration.
If not within the standard value, loosen the crank angle sensor mounting nut and adjust by turning the crack angle sensor. Turning it to the right advances timing, and to the left reetards it. See illustration.
Tighten the nut after adjustment, being sure that it does not move while tightening.
Stop the engine, and remove jumper wire in step 2.
Start the engine again and check the timing again. The correct basic ignition timing with no jumper wire is 8o BTDC.

Actually, before listening to me, get the manual that came with your cars, i beleive the correct TDC is listed in there.
