Has anyone had any experiance with a venom kit.I've read about them and it seems like they would work good and be safe.

The Venom system is more of a "basic user" kit to be installed on cars that don't have a lot of other stuff done to them. The thing I didn't like about it was that it was pre-programmed (at least from what I've read) to increase injector duty cycle a certain amount to compensate for the nitrous injection.

If you're looking for serious power and tuneability, I'd suggest the NX or NOS wet kits.

DSSA hit it on the head. The Venom is a glorified overpriced dry kit. In my opinion it sucks, but little rice boys like CL Mantis GST will eat it up. They love it!

Regards,

Save your money and get a NX or NOS wet kit. They run around $475-$600 the full venom kit is around $1200-1300 as I recall.

Regards,

k, where the hell do u get RICE from? sorry i had a nice thing to say about a product you dont like. I forgot we all have to be like you and like the same things you do. I just joined this board and already i'm getting flamed... for saying i like something. Oh and no I wouldnt put any N20 on my ride... i'm more of a just turbo tuning type of 'rice boy'...

Ummm..look at your car and you'll see where I get rice from. Oh, right...you are one of THOSE who think it's okay to have some cheeseball body kit and queer tailights and a 4 foot tall wing on your DSM, but if a Honda had the same exact thing..he'd be a rice boy, right? I flamed you for giving out information on something you have no personal experience with, and something you probably don't even know what it is!!! If you don't know what you are talking about, then don't offer advice on something because you will steer people in the wrong direction. Notice the people that have a clue in this thread all say the Venom kit sucks. But your Star Trek DSM having self loves it!! See the coincidence??

Regards,

Ok first thing i said was IMO... meaning my opinion nobody else's. Second, I mentioned not having it on my ride but having experience with a friend down the street. I mentioned i thought it was sweet and that i liked it. And dont give me this bull that I dont know what it is because hell my friend his dad and I did all the installs. This guy, "1gjohn," obviously doesn't know much about this kit or maybe any N20 kit out, and seems to be looking for a safe kit. Venom, yes its safe.. and does it work.. sure it does. Maybe not as good as an NX or NOS wet kit, but hey if he is looking for something safe then Venom (still IMO) will work best for him.

Ok, and sorry for putting a body kit and wing on my car. I really am, i should have known it wouldn't have been confuting to your eyes. Damn, why didnt i think of this before. Pleasing you is all that matters to me... and now i've failed. AHHH!!
Bleh, whatever man... car looks great (yes still IMO) so I got all da ladies attention ;)
Car runs great so I got all da peepz attention. Sorry I have a car with go and show.

fight nice kids. And for your information (cl mantis gst) i do know something about nitrous.I ran it on a 83 camaro with a built small block.I wont even claim to know as much as others.I wanted to know how good these kits are, being computer controlled. And what experiance anyone has had with it.Again doing some more research on venom and realizing it was a dry kit,i would not use a dry kit after noslazers answer to another another question i had on nitrous.

the car was fast as #@%#@%#@%#@%,Along with the 100 shot it had 10 to 1 forged pistons,202 head ported, holly rise intake,750 double pumper, pete jackson gear drive,Headers ect. A 3500 stall converter and a 4:11 rear.I never did run it at the track. Before i had a chance a guy offerd to buy it(at a really good price, for me that is)so i sold it,money talks: )
