Simple Questions about Basic Meth Set-up

So I have been toying with the idea of getting a basic meth set-up from Devils Own. I am currently running 22psi on 650cc injectors. My question is can I simply just turn up the boost a little to like 25-27psi with 50/50 mix without actually tuning my timing and AFR? Is this possible? Or do you absolutely have to get a tune to run meth?

You will have to get a tune in order for it to run correctly.

Would there be no benefit to run it just to prevent knock in turning up the boost?

There is always a benefit in running methanol, even if you keep the boost level the same. However, adding meth to your fuel injection alters the AFR and you will need to retune it to make meth a power gain, than a problem.

That's what I am trying to have explained to me. In the future I will have the meth tuned to be a huge power added. But for now can I run it as more of a safety precaution without having to tune anything?

It will make you run richer than the car does currently if you don't tune it. It can make it too rich so that your car won't even run right when the meth is on. In which case it would be better to have it turned off. Hence why I said, "You will have to get a tune in order for it to run correctly."

So if you have a chiped ECU instead of DSM Link (where I cant mess with the actually timing of the car unless I get the chip reburned) could I just compensate that with my SAFCII and be perfectly safe?

I have read this but it has no real answer just a few people that say "they could be wrong"
