What else is needed to complete this kit?

I sold and installed NOS brand products for many years ( NOS being Holley ) and that kit isnt going to be a good choice. That is set up for a carberated engine, hence the carb plate that comes in that kit. If you are truly going to get this kit for a great price these are the things you are going to need:

A bottle - Brackets - 2 Sylinoids ( fuel/red and nitrious/blue ) - 4 steel braided lines ( one from the bottle to the nitrious sylinoid, one from the sylinoid to the fogger, one from the fuel source to the sylinoid and then one to the fogger - a fogger, with jets - all the needed fittings - and a throttle switch or button. ( and yes if you are putting this in a hatchback like our cars are you will want a blow down tube )

it looks to me like the kit uses hard steel lines for after the sylinoids, these will probly NOT work in your car due to the need for added line. This means you will need to buy extra -3 or -4 sized lines, and can be expencive. On top of that you will have to buy the fogger and jets...

Do yourself a favor and just get a universal 4-6-8cyl wet kit from NOS. This is the most direct way of doing the job. You will not need any extra parts, you will have all new jets as well as the HP sizing charts for your application. usually i sold them for $449.

I have seen too many people messing with these home made kits and ruining thier cars. NOS kits are great products but used incorrectly lead to costly repairs.

Let me know if i could help you with anything else. good luck :thumb:

Thanks for the info! I could most likely get this kit for 150 with one solenoid already. Do you think I would spend less if I were to just buckle down and get a complete wet kit from somewhere, or could I piece together the rest of this kit for cheaper? I have a place locally that makes ss lines with any fitting too. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

I honestly don´t see any difference between a home basic home made kit and a basic brand name nitrous setup. The only thing you need to make your own kit is, Bottle, brackets, solenoids (fuel, nitrous), jets, fogger, stainless steel lines, as said before, 1 from the bottle to the solenoid, from the nitrous solenoid to the fogger, from the fuel source to the fuel solenoid and from the fuel solenoid to the fogger, a couple of fittings and thats it. Its basically what comes with an expensive basic brand name kit, but with more useless stuff. It doesn´t matter, if its a home made kit or a brand named one, you can blow up your engine in anyway if you don´t know what your are doing. Make sure, you cover the basics before you spray, Use 1 grade colder spark plugs, retard timing a little bit, make sure you choose well your jets (start with a low shot), make sure your fuel system is up to par, add a little pressure gauge, try to install a Wot switch and no button for safety purposes. If you cover the basics, you won´t blow, again, no matter if its a branded name or a home made kit. Nitrous is straightforward when a basic kit applies. Happy spraying :rocks:

PD: i made my own kit for around 250-300 including the bottle. Check used parts on ebay, there´s lots for nitrous.
