Direct port on stock intake manifold

On the back of the stock intake manifold on the runners there are round casting marks in it. If you've seen one or have one off of the car you'll know what im talking about, if not ill try to get a picture of what im talking about. Would it be ok to the the nozzles where these marks are or is that too close or too far away ?
