edmonton,
hey boys, i'm in a bind. k i have a crappy laser. like speed wise. it is a
1.8L 1990 plymouth laser. non turbo, and it is AUTOMATIC. what do i do to make it faster, and not break my wallet. there is only so much i can do to the engine. so do i get a new 5 spd tranny (expensive), get a turbo (expensive), or get nitrous that acts like a turbo? what u nitrous experts think?? Also, what would i have to do to mod my engine if i got nitrous.

P.s my car is in great condition, i only have 103 000 Kilometres (i dunno what that is in miles, but i know it is low)

thanks in advance.

yes on a non turbo automatic its pretty slow.. your best bet to beef it up quickly is with nitrous but I dont suggest getting nitrous to anyone who doesnt ahve the $$ to buy a new engine just incase..

Honestly, you could sell your car and get a 1g turbo for a fair price, in the long run the 1g turbo would be faster and cost the same as doing a whole nitrous setup w/ install and everything. Plus its safer for your car to sell it. I dont think a 1.8 with nitrous could ever get up to the power of a turbo 1g without a serious investment.
