I'm running a maft blow through as of right now, and I've heard that the maf doesnt take well to water.

Has anyone mounted their nozzle before the maf?

Will it mess up the MAF readings?

Is this going to affect timing?
I know the maft outputs a constant temp reading.

How will this affect timing advance with water injection?
The ECU wont be able to read the temperature difference, right?

thing is, the GM maf is a hotwire maf. It uses a heated wire that is cooled by the incoming air to tell how much air is flowing. If you get alcohol/water on that setup its not going to read correctly.

As well, I am a tech at a GM dealership, and I can tell you from experience, that all it takes is a bit of sludge on them to frig up the calibration. Throws off the idle, and fuel economy, as well as effects drivability.
