I would like to hear a answer to this question also, I currently have my 1.8 torn apart all over the garage. I am considering nitrous as an option, but I don't know how much to trust the stock cast pistons and rods. If I were to want to go with an extreme amount of nitrous (100+) what internals would you recommend and where could I purchase them ?
 
when you are saying stock internals just what are you making reference too? Im sure my crank could hold up okay as long as I do not go too overboard, but I am concerned about those dinky ass rods in the 1.8s. I would like to replace them and the pistons with forged parts, however it looks as if I would have to get them custom made, very $$ . I did get ahold of good set of sealed power rings and bearings, and looking for a copper seal head gasket. but I just don't know if that will be enough. If anyone has a line on forged 1.8 pistons and rods let me know, and let me know how poor the are gonna make me too. If I can manage to get them under a grand Im looking real hard at the 4g32 turbo option.

I just looked in your profile 91eclipseGs, and it makes reference to you already having nitrous installed, have your ran it yet? and if so how did it go. btw, the sohc1.8 is not a gs... just a base model eclipse :)

And as for swapping heads..... no chance without $$(bling bling)

i have the nitrous installed, i just dont want to use it intill i know the best shot to go with
