420A 4g63t swap on Eclipse GS?

i hear the gst eclipse has the 4g63t motor? would it be easier to do the 4g63t swap on my eclipse and use the gst ecu?

Unfortunatly for you, It will cost WAY more money, Then worth.. To swap a 4g63 into your 420a hard top coupe, Car. The engine is "opposite" so to speak, So you would need to custom fabricate mounts in the enginebay, Along with getting a new trans, ETC. It would be alot harder, And cost alot more, Then just simply going to buy a 95 gst/gsx/tsi car that needs a bit of work, For cheap.

Thats way to much work chief just turbo your 420a. My little brothers turboed 420a neon smokes stock srt-4's. Just a thought.

Either turbo your N/T like a lot of us do or sell it and buy a 4g63 if you want less work.

he said a gs, gs came with a 4g64. the rs came with the 420a. motor should bolt up same as a 4g64

This is incorrect information. The coupe/hard-top, Did not.

In the US, Yes. There ARE 4G63 non turbo 2g Eclipses that are hard top/coupe in Europe, Though. They are also RHD.
I believe the n/t 4cyl 3g has a 4g64 (not exactly sure), Had one once, Boosted it with all BOLT ON parts from a 1g-2g everything were a direct bolt up (exhaust mani etc).

ok cool, so then why would they only put it on the soft top gs then alot of people dont even buy them compared to a hard top
