Could he have a mbc also and just have it turned way down? Could be something that obvious right? Because if he's seein 5lbs. of boost he obviously has an aftermarket gauge. Just throwin the idea out there.
No 1g's stock boost level is 10 PSI. 14b's and 16g's stock wg run at 10 PSI.Actual Stock Boost Level is 14.5 PSI on our 2g's but varies due to wear/age of the car. Stock Boost Level is 12 PSI on a 1g. Check out Car information, new car prices, used car values, used car reviews, new car reviews - MSN Autos and look under 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse and It will give you all the specs from the factory, including gas mileage, stock power levels and GVW (gross vehicle weight). Pretty good website if you ask me!

Yep this is true. N55long maybe you should get your facts stright and listen to member's that been around alot longer then you before posting.haha I don't have to. I go there everyday. If you remove the restrictor you will run 14psi but STOCK is 10-12. Look at the 24 page thread above. Everyone will say the same for a completely stock car, adding an intake, come IC piping and/or removing the BCS restrictor will cause it to run around 14-15.
