Hey guys, I finally got around to readying myself for the purchase.. I need your expert advice on this deal I've found.;)

It's a 1990 Talon TSI AWD. No mods have been done other than a complete refurbishing of the engine. (timing belt had blown and he replaced a bunch of htings in the engine). He's selling the car with 4 cross-drilled rotors, 17" Sebring mags.

He's also done a complete paint job on the car, choosing the Audi TT's silver-colored paint.

Since the engine's refurbishing, he's only put 5000 kilometers (3125miles) on it.

The car has 132000 kilometers (82500 miles) on it.

The way i see it, a paint job is an easy 1k$, mags.. well i might change them and keep those for winter, but that's some money as well, the engine cost around 500$ and the cross drilled rotors, he payed 400 for.

He's selling for 4350$ (all prices in US$)

Here are the pictures. Hope you guys can help me out

I'd say maybe 3500 or so. Over 4k for a 90 is WAY TO MUCH unless it has a bajillion mods. I just bought mine and it had mint interior, good exterior, rebuilt engine (with upgraded things), jdm tranny, and a few more things all for 3000. I still felt like I paid a little too much but I'm still happy.

Are this cars too expensive in your area...? or hard to find... cause this car is definetaly nice, It seems to be worth the money he's asking for, but do some shop-around before you make your final decision... you might find some other options.

It'll be great to get it for $3500 or less, but it's your money, your choice, and you are the one who's paying for it...!
Good luck:thumb:

Sounds like a good deal to me. When I bought my car, most of the '90-'92 AWD's in my area where going for $4500 to $5000 and yours is much nicer than those where. I paid $3000 for mine and it had 145,000 miles and in no where as nice of shape as that one. I've had it four months and I am still working on getting it in to good condition, I'm close to being done. I hear other people on this forum saying there only paying $1500 - $2000 for theirs, so to me there seems to be a big difference in value depending on what area you live in.
