If i get on the throttle at all I get a loud whining sound, kind of like a super charger. I cant see any visable hoses unplugged. I checked my coolant overflow because I thought I might have a leaky headgasket. The coolant is nice and green. Looks really good. I also checked my dipstick for any coolant in with the oil but I didnt see any. If I hit the gas (WOT). I get max of 0psi. So I either have a huge leak somewhere or is it possible if I had a blown head gasket I wouldnt produce any boost? I took the car around town for a while and came home and lifted the hood. I couldnt see any leaks but I could smell something sweet like coolant. Any ideas? I am really hurting here.

I've got the same problem. Pull off your intercooler pipes and check for oil inside. In my case, my turbo is dead. It whines like crazy but produces no boost, and spits oil into the intercooler. The 16G cure is on a UPS truck right now :)

There is no oil inside my intercooler pipes. I just installed my Supra Sidemount. However, I was having this problem before I did the install.

You think my turbo is dead??

I hope I misunderstood that.

On the other hand... It would give me a good reason to upgrade to a Green. :thumb:

Perhaps my BOV is stuck open?

Actually I have a boost leak IC Pipe Tester and a air compressor. Where do I hook the leak down tester to pressurize the system? I have heard that I need to hook it to the intake pipe from my turbo. Where is this exactly? Do they mean unplug my upper IC hose where my intake manifold is and pressurize the system from there? I really dont want to mess anything up.

Thanks.

BISS? You mean my Idle screw? How would that affect a boost leak? And yes, if I adjust the screw it does adjust the idle. So it looks like it is working.

I am seriously going to be pissed if its a dead turbo. My turbo is a Big16g and bearly has any miles on it. Maybe 2k at the most. I sure hope its like an open wastegate or BOV. I have the stock turbo that worked when I took it off. I will hook that up if the leakdown test doesnt show any results.

I am still stumped. Where do I actually hook the leak down tester into? The turbo outlet? The intake manifold?
