This may seem like a foolish question, but how does one properly adjust the alternator belt tensioner on a 1g? It appears there is a lock bolt and then the adjuster bolt. My lock bould in rediculously tight and will not turn I just wanted to confirm im not doing this wrong. thanks.

there is 2 bolts on the tensioner. One on the side that controls the turning of the other bolt. And then they other one is in the back. First you loosen up the one on the side *its pointing towards hte side of the car. Its the easier of the two to access* you loosen that one up.

Then you turn the other one either left or right depending if you need to tighten or loosen the belt.
