Shattered Sunroof

I was driving on the way home and my sunroof shattered -- I have no clue what hit it but it messed it up. Where do I buy replacement glass or assembly or something?

To pull the glass assembly do I have to drop the headliner?

Last time I was messing with a 2g sunroof..There was torx bolts holding the glass to the track.I hope i remember that correctly.

your correct its 6 torx screws holding it in.

There's a group buy for a carbon fiber bolt-in replacement going on.

So I can just remove the glass from now? I don't want to drive around as glass keeps breaking off. So If I remove the torx bolts I can see on the rails when I open the sunroof it will come out?

Yes, the 6 screws take the whole glass piece out, it has a metal frame that the glass sits in.

And the junkyards at least around here are a crap shoot for anything sunroof related, there was only one time when I saw a complete sunroof with motor when I went for something for my jeep... a few days later I went to go snag it it was gone, along with the 4 others that had sunroofs... mines been painted black, and the motor doesn't work so I've been patiently looking for the whole setup. No dice without ordering it and shipping.

You could probably get the carbon fiber sunroof plug in the group buy, for not much more than glass.

If mine broke it would make the perfect excuse
