So after attempting to remove my exhaust housing to put on the BEP bolt on, I tried to use the socket method found here: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/turbo-system-tech/328141-removing-turbine-housing-hx35.html
But I didn't realize that I was bracing on the wheel instead of the housing until I started hearing cracking coming from the compressor side by then it was too late, now the wheel is frozen.....wont budge for $hit! I did even get to install this thing and it look like it was in excellent condition. Only rust was on the exhaust housing. What you guys think? Am I done for?

I know I'm still a noob on here but I would say you're pretty much going to have to get another one for parts anyways so at that point there cheap enough to where I'd say start all over and just buy another one. I just took mine apart for seals two weeks ago. I'f you decide you need one I know where a few external wastegated ones are I don't have a price on one but I can get it with a shipping prices too.

If you didn't bind the wheel too much you'll be fine. You're just sliding it out of the housing off-centered....you need to move it some about 180* from where your one bolt is there and it will relieve the pressure.

DAMN, I was afraid of that. I was looking for some kind of hope where I didnt have to spend more $. Mine was a 56mm 7blade from 99-02 Ram....do they have one like that? Can you PM me the price shipped?

Forgive me JusMx141 but I dont think I understand when you say move it 180*...Move what exactly?

O, I see. So the turbine wheel is whats being binded. I got it now. I'll try this when I get home. I'm more at ease now. $350 down the $hitter is a hard pill to swallow, thats for damn sure!

Finally got it off...here is a picture of the turbine side...Has a sticky oily feeling to it but only on one side. Also, the cap sitting directly under the wheel is kind of loose, is it suppose to be like that while the housing is off? What does this mean?

Oups forgot to attach this

I got a BEP .55 a/r bolt on. But now I'm thinking to keep the stock 12cm and return my MAP recirc wastegate and cop one of those ERL mani. I would have to get some sort of 02 housing that will bolt on to my 2.5 downpipe and will clear the alternator.

Half Way through my setup. Now I just clean off the block and then prep the head for install (install fuel rail, IM, coil pack and all EGR crap). Then on to my Hx35!!!!
