Car was wrecked on the highway by an out of control SUV. Was going to part the car out but my brother has convinced me it can be fixed for cheap. I don't know much about suspension but i do know the side impact damaged the rear driver's side. The wheel on that side looked like it had a ton of negative camber after the accident. After comparing it with the other side it looks like this part is the culprit. It has a HEAVY bend on the damaged side that the passenger side doesn't. What am I looking at and also what else do I need to check in that area. Thank you.

Looks like the upper and lower control arm. The upper in that pic is aftermarket with more camber adjustment than the OEM stamped steel piece. I'd also check the trailing arm, axle, strut, sway bar, and possibly even the rear subframe or unibody itself depending on how hard of a hit it took.

Only the rear took a hit? check the pins that connect the subframe to the unibody. lower arm is OEM. Upper is an ingalls. the upper should be bent. you might have to pull the passenger side to campare them. they are identical. as long as the body is straight, the work is not too bad. set aside a full day if you have all the parts. also you may have bent the hub/spindle thing. rotate the wheel and check for wobbling to be sure.

Checked everything else and only the upper control arm looks bent. It looks like the slight bend in the control arm as designed bent even further during the impact which looks like mitigated damage to the rest of the suspension.

Got an Ingalls ordered thanks to your post. Wasn't sure who the manufacturer was. The drivers side was much more bent in comparision.

After mine got hit it dog tracked make sure rear subframe bolts arent bent and looks like 50 dollar fix for those parts

Well I got the Ingalls upper for $85 so it wasn't too bad. I will be installing it Monday and seeing how it drives. Now I need to find a rear quarter panel and that looks to be a pain to find and out of my skills to pull and replace.
