Ok so I had a problem where the car would hesitate around 5000rpms no matter what it I did. Today I installed the evo maf and injectors and replaced the igniter on the intake manifold. The car runs awesomely no hesitation at all I will atempt to take a long and post it. But it runs great, almost like it did when I first bought it accept faster :)

So with some spirited driving I logged 13* of timing in third gear at wot at 15psi I assume now with the extra fuel and the maf I can raise it but I'm still in testing making sure everything is ok. I did get a code for the front o2 sensor that I will have replaced tomorrow. But the car runs great as I stated before.

One of those could have easily been the problem. If it's running better then no looking back. March on!:rocks:

It idles a little rough whenever I start it from cold start but once it's up to operating temp it's fine. That may be from the front o2 sensor that would be my guess. I think I will turn the boost up to 18-20 it moves so quickly through the power band now.

yea sounds to me like the injectors were dirty or bad or the MAF wasnt reading properly or it wasnt getting enough spark. How do your plugs look? maybe change those out and see if the idle problem is solved then?

My first car used to have no acceleration. I took it to my mechanic and he cleaned out the injectors really good and showed me all the gunk he got out.... thing was 3x faster and actually had get up and go... wasnt bad for a Ford Probe LOL

Actually the maf was super dirty it had all kinds if nasty looking stuff on it at the bottom. The spark plugs are new so those should be fine. The injectors are the original and have 235,000 miles in them so they probably needed to be replaced. It really is hard to keep it at the speed limit cause its always trying to go.

When you say rough, rough in what sense? Low idle, misfire?

No the thing that sits next to the coil pack.

Currently using a pocket logger until tomorrow. I will have my tatrix cable, I will be using evo scan and will atempt to a flash once I get the wide and installed.

Was this it? If so, it's the Power Transistor:

So I finally got ecu flash working yesterday and scaled the maf and injectors and it seems the car runs just a little better with it done. Now to add some boost! So in theory I wonder if you could copy over a stock evo fuel and timing map and input it on to the eclipse.. In order to keep ceddy's mods active.

Hmmm, I personally haven't done that but for some reason I did see someone who experimented with it and had no luck, just didn't work good. However, I think some people have actually gotten it to work good. but honestly, you can just tweak your own map. Just do it little by little and be patient. Any questions let me know, I'll help you out.
