I didn't know what MAF overrun was but I am now being told that I might have it.

I know that Al Blaha did wonders with the 1g MAF and can back in the day.

The reason I don't want to get rid of my 1g MAF is because I soda blasted the bastard and treated it to a nice POR 15 treatment along with a nice aftermarket filter. It also goes to a sexy 1g ETS intake and coupling that runs along with a nice ETS intercooler.

Does my 1g MAF really have to go? :toobad:

EVO/3g MAS is the same diameter as the 1g, 3.125 inches.

Depending on what tuning solution you are using, its a simple swap and rewire of the MAS harness. If you have removed the honey combs and modded the can as much as possible and you are getting over run, upgrading the MAS is the only solution, or go to speed density and be done with the MAS system.

Since you have a vr-4, I am assuming you are running the ETS intake like below:

Looks like they are running a EVO/3g MAS
I am also running the EVO MAS, went straight to it from the 1g, skipped the 2g for two reason, didnt want to have to buy a new coupler and it was an upgrade over the 2g.

Thanks agentorange. Same applies to me. The top pic is exactly what I am running. I don't want to lose the sexy coupler but assume that I am going to lose the sexy POR 15 can. Also don't want to lose my filter and spend on a shorty. I wouldn't care so much about cost if I wasn't trying to troubleshoot a vehicle problem.
