Although I cannot hear the sound of the tick over the exhaust I found out what the issue was on my car last night. I thought it was lifter tick but the noise sounded too odd so i looked down in the gap between the fender and the engine on the drivers side (where all the pulleys are) and my timing belt cover seemed to be loose on one side, it was vibrating then slapping against the motor (just plastic). So I used a screw to bold it down and no more noise. You would think this noise wouldn't have been that loud, trust me, it was loud enough for me to be concerned.
 
Wow really? I really thought that was rod knock because it sounded just like that because for the most of the time when rod knock happens, it's when you it's a higher RPM but, rod knock also happens at idle too.

But anyways, good thing it wasn't that,LOL. That would suck big time.
 
If you listen to the video that's titled GST ticking, you can hear the noise at 20 seconds and I'll start to play with the throttle to make the noise. It occurs around 2000 rpm and will go away around 4500rpm. And, the second video is much easier to hear the noise. It first occurs at 25 seconds and then it's really noticeable again at 35 seconds. It is for sure not the lifters, I just replaced them with brand new ones and it's not the timing belt cover either because, I just did the timing belt and this was here before and after and the covers are bolted down and secure, no movement.
