Evo IX exhaust fit?

A buddy of mine totaled his Evo IX but supposedly his Perrin exhaust is still in pretty good condition. Can I modify it to fit my 97 GSX? Sorry I haven't seen the piping yet and will post pics if it's possible to install

haven't had to join until now. been able to get by without signing up. lots of good info out there but can't seem to find this

You might be able to, idk how much fabricating it to work on your car is worth it to you, the big problem is the Evo IX and 2g DSM's exhaust exit on opposite sides so all the piping will have to be reworked to make it fit.

I'd say just either go ebay exhaust or have a local shop fab you up one. Honestly it would probably cost close to how much it would cost to make that work. Unless you weld and what not then go for it!

It doesn't even exit on the same side of the car.....so no.

You can buy a cat back system that bolts right on to your car on eBay for $150. Shipped.



If you're still insistent that you want this Evo system on your car for some odd reason, I have a great book for you to read that will prepare you for the task.

The 2 cars are nothing alike (for the most part).

Will it bolt on: NO
Will you need to fabricate a lot: YES
It it worth it?: NO

Sell and spend money on one built for your car. Unless you got a welder and some cutting tools and a whole day to cut and hack and hope you still dont have to buy pieces to make it fit.
