ATTN: IL OWNERS...(bout catylitic)

ok i live in IL and i live in a small hick town with MANY HUGE V8 trucks that are loud as..well u get it..anyway i want a loud car..i am getting an N1 but would it sound louder (and better) if i jsut had a test pipe...also the reason it says IL is because would i get in trouble...is it really that noticible?

sure it would sound louder. but if you want noise (which i think is dumb) then cut off your muffler. or you coul get a big exhaust. but you have to remember that trucks are "meant" to soubd loud, your car is not. that is why i disagree. also you will lose powe if you cut your muffler.

no no no i don't wan that loud i jsut want to put a test pipe instead of a cat....is that still ok or bad idea for HP, it'll be a AWD TSi with a 16g

Do it, you'll free up some extra hp. IL cops aren't going to check whether you have the cat on or not and for emissions they won't put you on the dyno so do it already

FIRST I HAVE TO GET THE CAR...i am getting ALL the information i need first (plus i have to find an AWD AUTO in a good price range) so then i can jsut DO it and like go into hiding from you guys for awhile..... but ALSO i won't get stoped in my town cause A. one kid has no exhaust on his truck and anotehr has jsut STRAGHT pipes and B. my dad is incharge of the police and there salaries

i respect ur oppinion but yea keep it to yourself
