Bov not working


Im looking to trade my 1g tsi fwd for a 2g tsi awd and his bov is not opening. I cant tell you much all i know is its not working. Its a tial. Any ideas why this could be happening?

What kind of bov, could be in bad shape, leaking, bad hoses, do a boost leak test for leaks, could be several things.

I would be sure to bet it needs to be cleaned. My buddies WRX had the same issue. He has an RFL. Simple cleaning solved it. But please do as iugrad92turbo said. Do a boost leak test. Look up Jafromobile on youtube. He has a video about making a boost leak tester for under $20 I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.
